Our Anaestheisa society has become more diverse over the past half-century. The Anaesthesiologist of today owes everything he has achieved to those few who had the vision and courage to bring our specialty in the mainstream of health delivery services achieving status of super specialty today. We salute them. The specialty of Anaesthesia has grown and Pakistan Society of Anaesthesiologists has now become a “ROLE MODEL SOCIETY”. I always believe in teamwork. Great things are rarely achieved by just one person, they are accomplished by a group of dedicated people and when everyone is committed to the overall goal, team moves forward, are more innovative and more successful. I am grateful to all those colleagues who made this possible and our vow to take the profession to even greater heights. It is an immense privilege working for the PSA, it is not just for the anaesthesia specialty and fraternity; it is for the patient safety and quality of care as well. I understand, you never reach perfection there is always room for improvement. I am hopeful, with such a great and competent team of anaesthesiologists we will improve in every domain. I am looking forward to continuous support. Together we can take it higher!
